I'm trying to add titles to my blogs.  You think it's working?  Think again!

Moving to a new server

My whole site is moving to a new server, RivalPro dot Net.  The whole change should appear seamless to the outside world, but knowing my relationship with computers and the Internet, I doubt it.

I intend to convert my site to all shtml files, server-side-includes.  And just as I decide to do this, I begin an interest in PHP files.  Perhaps this means nothing to you, but it might mean a few pages will behave quirkily over the next few months.  On last count, I have 475 pages on my website, and that doesn't count the pages that are in development and aren't linked to anything yet.  475 is the number of pages that can be spidered, a.k.a. linked together.

That means I have to redo 475 pages, plus make the old pages redirect to the new pages.  I'm not quite sure how that will affect all the blogs; so I'm starting with the Wheat-Free Diary.

Today I'm changing the Perils of Pamela blog to an shtml file.  I'm not going to change the archives just yet.  So if a link doesn't work, then try the other format.  If the shtml file is not found, then change the URL to html, and if the html file is not found, then change the URL to shtml, and if you don't know what in blue blazes I'm talking about, then go have a cup of coffee on me, and forget all about this new-fangled contraption called the Internet.
