I have felt recharged the past few days. Other than my knee causing some limping, I have really felt like getting organized. I'm sorting through old papers and getting rid of ones we don't need to keep anymore. I figure it's safe to throw away grocery receipts from 1991. ;) Okay, so it's been awhile since I cleaned out my filing cabinet. LOL
I was hoping to get over to the Ice Festival and take some photos. Unfortunately it seems too slippery for me to do much outside walking. I don't even feel safe walking to the mailbox. We had one day of 40 F. weather. This results in a top layer of smooth ice on packed down snow. The paved roads are completely clear of snow and ice now.
I picked Keith up at the airport. He was surprised how warm it was, 6 above zero. The sunshine makes it feel much warmer, though. Our house really heats up from the solar gain. He is off again already getting water for the cabin, checking the mail, and picking up his paycheck at Golden Valley.
Keith and Todd went to Anchorage this week. Todd is starting his lineman class, and Keith had a conference to attend. While they were gone, the house was quiet, and I enjoyed the solitude. I also relished watching any television show I chose.
The sun shines into my living room windows now. The light floods the area around the computer, and the brightness causes a cheerful glow in the room, including me.
