Our living room is for conversation, visiting, reading, and quiet reflection.  No distracting television is in this room.  We have a panoramic view of the Alaska Range.

In the winter, we can see the twinkling lights of Fairbanks and the sun comes in our windows even when the Tanana Valley is shrouded in ice fog.  In the summer we are surrounded by trees and night never comes.
