Titanicaxx's TavernTitanicaxx's site was originally reviewed in September, 2002. She is doing some major reorganization, but there's still lots to see and read. This time I mainly spent time reading her family pages, well worth the trip. I recommend it highly. Saturday, April 30, 2005
Moon and Back GraphicsI remember the first time I visited the Moon and Back Graphics site early in 2001. I wondered at the unusual name of the site and what it meant. I came to know it as an unusual site with an unusual name. It was unique because it updated regularly with more graphics than I even had time to view, let alone use on my site. So many times I was inspired to make a new page because of viewing a new design and layout.
In addition, Moon and Back Graphics introduced me to the the poetry of Francine Pucillo and the music of Yuko Ohigasha, Bruce DeBoer, and more. I was encouraged to learn about class files and how to make it rain and snow on my pages. I viewed the art of Paula Vaughan, Tom Sierak, William Whitaker, and others. Today I decided to update BlogAlaska with some spring graphics, and the first place that came to mind was Moon and Back. When I visited their site, I was presented with the sad news that the linkware section is closed. Appreciate what you have today. You never know when it will go away. Thank you, Moon and Back Graphics. It was swell! Note: Moon and Back Graphics still offer websets for purchase. Sunday, December 07, 2003
So Many Graphic Sties, So Little TimeI would rather be surfing graphic sites that blogging about it. However, I do want to keep a record of where I visit and my reaction. I also intend to give out a graphic award for those sites that I review here. I have visited so many terrific sites since I last blogged here that I don't know which one to pick first. My following choice does not mean that other sites are not as good as this one, but I do have to start somewhere! Friday, May 30, 2003
Backwoods Creations GraphicsRight next door to Lisa is Suzanne, of Wilcox Country. A year ago, I visited Suzanne's Little Getaway and adopted her Computer Addict desk set for my computer room. I had already viewed their family-owned business, BackWoods Creations, and viewed their furnishings. This trip I came to see the celebration because Suzanne signed my guestbook. I was in for a big surprise. While I've been busy with other things, Suzanne has been creating funny fuzzies, not just a few, but hundreds of them. She offers original, mouse-drawn linkware sigtags, blank quilt squares, cards, banners, and blank blog awards. She offers a Country Hearts linkware pageset and a blog set, "Just the Two of Us", that would be perfect to tell your love story. Suzanne uses primary colors in a bright, bold style. She has graphics collections, sigtags, spiritual graphics, and clipart for sale. Her latest collection warms your heart with a rainbow of funny fuzzies. Gift certificates available, as well as BackWoods Bargains. Her adoption shop has hundreds of graphics and requires a free membership. What's the celebration? Come and see for yourself. (And don't miss Funny Fuzzies Funland.) Country Gals GraphicsLisa Beerbower of Beerbower Country Home is a talented and generous addition to the Internet. She has several categories of mouse-drawn adoptions for sale. Gift certificates are available. Her adoption shop has adoptions for you as well as her own collections displayed. A membership is required to download the adoptions. Her linkware site offers many linkware pagesets as well as linkware sigtags and scrapbook pages. Lisa graciously gives credit to the tutorials she used to make some of her clipart. She used a tutorial for her cute kids from Treasure Designs. The set extolling, "Friends are like crayons, they come in many colors" is my favorite. The school set has some cute kids. Best friends was drawn using a tutorial from Christina. I appreciate that she doesn't have every page opening in a new window. The edges of her graphics are clean which makes them usable on any background. Lisa is a graphic artist to watch. I'll be visiting this site again! Saturday, March 15, 2003

While you are there you can send fantasy, java applet, and animated greeting cards , or adopt an animated unicorn cyber pet. You don't have to join the webring to adopt. Besides unicorns, you can adopt ponies, sky unicorns, sky ponies, rocking horses, mom and baby, babies, carousels, families, birthstone ponies, butter ponies, couples, and more! The one drawback that I can say about this page is that there is are banners at the top and bottom of every page, at least every page that I browsed. Saturday, October 12, 2002

Graphics CupboardLisa's site was original reviewed in May, 2001. When I visited her site again, she had it all decked out for fall with a new county fair set. Lisa is very talented at drawing animals. I've used her snowmen and penguin in my Snowman Gallery. I combined two of her sets to make a page for my Mom. She also has an ice cream shoppe and a teaparty that I just have to find a place for. While looking through her graphics, I found a set that is perfect for my section I'm creating for my niece and nephew, Bub and Christina's Family. Saturday, September 28, 2002
Dee's DrawingsDee's Drawings was first reviewed in March, 2001. Since then her drawing talents have developed into a more complex style, but with still the same simplicity and child-like innocence. She now has premade graphics, quilt blocks, and flower girls for adoption. Her "beary good friends" set is adorable, but my favorite is still the purple flower set. Friday, September 27, 2002
Cute Countryside GraphicsFirst reviewed in March, 2001, this site now requires a paid registration. Currently Karen White has a special: Every fifth person who joins receives a graphic package bonus. She advertises themed pagesets, cursors, web blinkies, counter digit sets, school graphics, welcome signs, banners, and sayings. September, 2005, this site is no longer online. Titanicaxx's TavernGraphics created from original tubes made with drawings and photographs. She provides the HTML code to go with the graphics, a big plus. PSP tubes, Incredimail, websets. clip art, and PSP tutorials. Make gold text in seven steps without a filter or plug-in for PSP 7. Tuesday, September 24, 2002
Crickets Country GraphicsCricket is a prolific artist whose page is a must see if you are a collector of country graphics. Her country kids, dolls, printable paper dolls, and background sets are available for your personal web site in exchange for a link to her site. Her drag-and-drop paper doll game is an idea that I've thought of many times, but she's done it! Cricket will also make personalized paper dolls in the likeness of your child for a small fee. The Pickle Patch The pickles are people at The Pickle Patch, not pickles at all like I thought when I went there. Search as I could, there wasn't a pickle in sight! Charley gave me a guided tour of the linkware websets, Pickle People for adoption, and a stroll through the garden. You can order a custom Pickle or pick up a premade. |
