In general, people in Alaska love animals, especially dogs.  After all, the state sport is dog mushing. :)

In the larger cities of Fairbanks and Anchorage, you are going to find more restrictions than in less densely populated areas.  You could order a newspaper from the locality and check the classifieds. The Matanuska- Susitna Valley is more accepting of animals than downtown Anchorage.
