Fairbanks, Alaska, Diary for August

I was gone the first three weeks of the month.  Keith told me that smoke from fires caused the air quality to be very bad so I was glad I wasn't here.  The weather in Indiana was hot, but not smokey.... well, if you don't count the smog.  There were days that the sky looked like Alaska during a forest fire.

August is one of the rainiest months of the year. The fair is in August, and the saying goes, "It's raining, it must be fair time."

Every other year, the state fair is held in Fairbanks. This year we took Brendon. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. Take a look at our Tanana Valley State Fair photos. Today Brendon is one year old.
