Beautiful Weather

This is one of the most beautiful summers we've ever had. The temperatures are way above normal. There are forest fires in several areas around the state and sometimes the air is smokey. It is hotter here than it is in Indiana at times. My parents are visiting here and brought three of their great-grandsons with them. The boys can't believe how nice the weather is for Alaska, and they love the long days. They never want to go to bed.

Midnight Summer

Today was the big celebration for the longest day of the year. Keith washed his truck and put the canopy back on. Brendon watched. He did not like it when Keith put the water on the windshield.

Then they went downtown to see the parade.

Hot! Hot! Hot!

Wow! Has it ever been warm here! A few days ago, I took a photo of the thermometer reading 80 degrees! Now I remember why I like winter so much. I sit in front of the fan trying to stay cool. I went downtown and it was great riding in the car with the air conditioner on.
