Alaskan Bush Pilots

I've met a lot of bush pilots during the years I've lived in Alaska.  One of the most memorable is Sig Wien.  People recognized him and welcomed him wherever he went.  Yet he was a quiet man, very humble. 

When I met him, he lived in Fairbanks, the Golden Heart of Alaska.  I knew him to have a deep and sincere love for God and his family. 

We miss him very much.

Sig had a brother named Noel. He made the first flight to Fairbanks, Alaska.
